  • Feel confident that 100% of funds donated are given to charities that undergo due diligence
  • Receive a tax deduction for your significant gift

Members pay $1,045 each year. $1000 is donated to the annual grant recipients and $45 is used to cover the running costs of Women and Change.

If you are under 35 years old, you pay $545 (see young members for more detail). $500 is donated to the annual grant recipients and $45 is used to cover the running costs of Women and Change.

Women and Change donations are held in a dedicated sub-fund of the People First Bank Foundation until they are donated to grant recipients following the annual Voting Night in November each year. Tax receipts for donated funds are issued on receipt of payment.

The membership fee of $45 paid by each member is not tax-deductible because it is used to fund charities to participate in Women & Change activities plus contribute to bank fees, insurance, website maintenance and upgrades.

Members are invited to attend the annual Voting Night in November where together they vote on the shortlisted Grant Applicants. Each member has one vote and the winner is selected by a majority vote.

The Grant Application process has a rigorous vetting process. Members can be certain their donations will be used wisely to fulfill unmet community needs.

Members can get involved in the Grants Assessment process working alongside the Women and Change Committee. There are 11 Committee positions available only to Members. You can find out more about the Women & Change Committee here.

We welcome any questions with respect to joining Women & Change. Please take a look at our FAQs here about membership. For further information complete the contact form here to have a Committee Member respond to you.
