Become a Member

Becoming a Women and Change member gives you the  ability to invest in solutions to the problems facing the Queensland community .

By joining you will :

  •  Change lives by funding projects that help Queenslanders in need
  • Give input and help select projects for our annual Voting Night
  • Feel confident that 100% of funds donated are given to charities approved and vetted  by fellow members
  • Receive a tax deduction for your significant gift

Members pay $1,025 each year. $1000 is donated to the annual grant recipients and $25 is used to cover the running costs of Women and Change.

If you are under 35 you pay $525 (see  young members for more detail). $500 is donated to the annual grant recipients and $25 is used to cover the running costs of Women and Change.

Women in Change donations are held in a dedicated sub fund of the McCullough Robertson Foundation. Tax receipts for your donated funds are issued each financial year.

The administrative fee of $25 paid by each member is not tax deductible because it is used by Women and Change to pay for expenses including bank fees, website hosting, event costs, domain registrations, and ASIC registration.

Members are invited to attend the annual Voting Night in November where together they vote on the shortlisted Grant Applicants. Each member has one vote and the winner is selected by a majority vote.

The Grant Application process has been designed to not be too onerous for small non-profit organisations. We apply a rigorous vetting process so Members can be certain their donations will be used wisely to fulfil an unmet community need.

Members can get involved in the Grants Application process working alongside the Women and Change Committee. There are 11 Committee positions available only to Members. You can find out more about the Women & Change Committee here.

We welcome any questions with respect to joining Women & Change. Please take a look at our FAQs here about membership and for further information simply complete the contact form here to have a Committee Member respond to you.
